"We had been looking for a nursery within the area and had been recommended ‘Downham nursery’ we heard lots of parents experiences and were impressed by the positive comments they shared.
Having had years of experience in early years education myself, I have been so impressed by the brilliant and dedicated practitioners at the nursery.
This nursery has small classes with a home from home welcome, Mrs Stimpson and all the staff ensure the children are exposed to many enriched experiences throughout each term.
The children learn and celebrate many different cultures and we have been lucky enough to come in to share and celebrate our own culture with all the children. Parents are encouraged to come in for various occasions throughout each term and it has been really lovely for us and grandparents to be a part of our child’s nursery journey.
All the practitioners from each class has insured they have developed a strong relationship with our little girl and she is instantly settled in their care. I am very grateful for that.
We had a report written by a member of staff and it truly reflected how well they knew our little girl and her stages in her development at that time.
Our little girl is in her final term before she starts school. The encouragement the staff in the cabin have given her to be independent has certainly contributed to her school readiness. We will be sad to see her leave this nursery and all the staff she has close bonds with, however we a grateful for the experiences and foundations the staff has given her in her journey. We know we will one day be looking through her learning journal and all the fond memories she has made." April 2026
