Our aim is to help each child to self-regulate their behaviour and to show courtesy and consideration to their peers as well as for the nursery staff.
Our expectations for good behaviour are made clear to the children. The staff consistently and sensitively manage every incidence of inappropriate behaviour. Similarly, every incidence of good behaviour is praised and encouraged.
If a child’s behaviour is causing the staff concern, this will be discussed with the parent(s) and a plan of action agreed to ensure both parents and staff are working together to help the child. At the end of each session a member of staff will speak to the parent about their child’s progress in this area.
